The anecdote : This album, the 11th collaboration between the Melodiya label and the two pianists in 8 years, marks the 10th anniversary of the Berlinskaya-Ancelle piano duo. This festive album mirrors the music of George Gershwin and that of Alexander Tsfasman, founder of the first jazz ensemble in the USSR and first performer of Rhapsody in Blue in the Soviet Union in 1945 - the year of his own Jazz Suite.

Le Monde (France) - April 2022

Marie-Aude Roux

"For ten years, the Franco-Russian duo has been reaching the summits of the repertoire for two pianos. (...) The two of them are a model of accomplishment. (...) Between jazz and classical music, as virtuoso as they are inventive, Ludmila Berlinskaya and Arthur Ancelle create magnificent orchestral atmospheres, audacious worlds alternately adorned with elegance or fantasy, in a saving bulimia of dreams, joy and music."

Classica (France) - April 2022

Melissa Khong

CHOC de Classica
"As virtuoso as it is rigorous, the playing of Ludmila Berlinskaya and Arthur Ancelle has the indispensable qualities (balance of textures, rhythmic mastery, precision) to venture into a repertoire that also demands panache, insouciance and audacity. (...) A tour de force."

International Piano (UK) - March 2022

Ates Orga

"Celebrating 10 years together, the Russo-French duo of Berlinskaya and Ancelle offer a stunning display of tone, touch, timing and teamwork. Variously cultured and earthy, dizzying and glittering, their pianism fuses liberal imagination, rhythmic flexibility and swing with classical attention to detail and articulation. Unmissable."
